Description
This project focuses on the Identification Study (EI) and Technical, Economic, Social and Environmental Study (TESA) for the expansion and refurbishment of the Instituto Tecnológico Centro de Formación Profesional Brasil Bolivia in El Alto, La Paz. The objective is to consolidate and optimize the existing infrastructure, which already has progress in the structural work, to enhance the department's technical educational offering. Technical and Engineering Components The study has covered basic engineering and feasibility assessment. The key technical components include: Structural Pathology Study: Evaluation of the existing concrete to identify damage and propose reinforcements that ensure the safety and service life of the building. Geotechnical Soil Study: Characterization of the subsoil for optimal foundation design and stability of new structures. High‑Precision Topographic Survey: Generation of a digital terrain model to define project elevations and the correct integration of the new designs. Environmental Impact Study (EIA) and Environmental Data Sheet (FA): Identification of environmental impacts and development of mitigation plans, ensuring regulatory compliance. Market and Socio‑economic Study: Analysis of technical labor demand and educational supply to validate the relevance of the academic offering. Functional Architectural Design: Proposal of spatial layout for specialized classrooms, laboratories, workshops and administrative areas, optimizing functionality and the learning environment. Detailed Structural Design: Calculation and sizing of structural elements, guaranteeing seismic safety under Bolivian regulations. Low‑Voltage Electrical Installations Design: Schematics, calculations and protections for lighting and power outlets, considering the demand of technological equipment. Sanitary Installations Design (Potable Water and Sewerage): Planning of potable water, sanitary and stormwater sewer networks. Gas Installations Design: Projection of the natural gas or LPG network for laboratories and workshops, complying with safety regulations. Strengthening of Technical Careers The expansion and refurbishment will modernize the facilities to improve the quality and relevance of technical training. This will benefit and enable the potential implementation of new technical careers aligned with the productive and service demand in El Alto and La Paz, such as: Electronics and Electrotechnics Mechanical Industry Industrial and Automotive Informatics and Systems Civil Construction Gastronomy and Hospitality Industrial Chemistry and Quality Control This study ensures that the proposed infrastructure is suitable for professional practice, contributing to the training of qualified labor essential for Bolivia's socioeconomic development.
